
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested 46 youths who were alleged to be involved in a cult clash which left four people dead on Tuesday in Ondo Town.
This development was revealed on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo Stae, Ayanlade Olayinka.

According to him, the suspects were arrested following a raid carried out by the Police in the area.
During the clash, the deceased victims were shot around Ife Garage, Sabo, and Christ Land in the Oka area of the town by masked men suspected to be members of a rival cult group.
It was also learnt that three members of the Aiye confraternity were shot dead in the bloody clash at Ife Garage, while one was killed at the Sabo area of the ancient town.
But Speaking on Thursday, the Police spokesperson said: “Desperate times require desperate actions. Anyone arrested during the raid has one or two things to do with the clash. Forty-six suspects were arrested with firearms and ammunition in their hideouts in the town.”
Ayanlade also craved the support of the public in apprehending more culprits of the incident, noting that the Police is on the prowl to bring them to justice.
“We want the people of Ondo town and Ondo State generally to remain law abiding and cooperate with the police. We will not rest until we arrest the remaining people who are responsible for the crisis,” he said.
