The leaders of the Akoko Youth Forum, headed by its President, Blessing James Akeju, are reportedly facing charges bordering on cyber-bullying at the Chief Magistrate Court in Akure, Ondo State.
A whistleblower on Facebook, Oluwagbenga Ajongbolo, has in a social media post, revealed how the Attorney-General of Ondo State, Mr. Kayode Ajulo SAN, has ignited a cyberbullying charge against the executives of the Forum after their alleged assault on the AG which he reported to security agencies, including the Police via a formal petition.

Ajongbolo says, “From ‘physical assault’ to ‘cyberbullying’, Ondo State Attorney General, an Akoko man, really wants to jail his Akoko brothers and sister.”
“It’s now confirmed that Kayode Ajulo, Ondo State Commissioner for Justice, has set machineries rolling to incarcerate Ondo Youth who are also his younger ones. They’re currently in court.”
“A so-called former human rights activist! Spits.”
The charge sheet discovered by our correspondent reveals how two other persons: Mrs Yaya Bisola, Adegunloye Adeniran Gabriel were charged alongside Mr. Blessing James Akeju, the president of the AYF.
They were alleged of having circulated a video with the intent to bully on the social media, thereby running foul of section 205 of the Cyber-Crime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act as recently amended in 2024.
Citizen Rapporteur earlier reported how the leaders of the Forum alleged the Attorney-General of having been using security agencies to hound them over the disagreement that led to the intervention of law enforcement agencies in his office.
The statement released by the body reads, โIn a surprising development, the Attorney General of Ondo State has reportedly petitioned the Department of State Security Service (DSS), Ondo Command, regarding the Akoko Youth Forumโs involvement in the planned Akoko Youth Summit 2025.
โThis move follows a recent courtesy visit by our group to the Office of the Attorney General of Ondo State, where discussions centered on youth engagement, security, and developmental initiatives for Akoko youth.
โHowever, we find ourselve under scrutiny, raising concerns about perceived attempts to suppress youth-led initiatives aimed at fostering unity and progress.
โWe would honour the DSS invitation and attend the scheduled session at the agencyโs Akure office by 12 Noon on Monday, March 31, 2025.
โThis development has sparked reactions from stakeholders , with many questioning why a platform designed to promote youth dialogue and community progress would be met with security concerns.โ
As at news time, nothing has been heard from the office of the Attorney-General with respect to the development.
