Farmers from the Ala Camp Area of Ondo State have trooped out to protest the murder of three of their colleagues by armed Fulani herdsmen on 8th April, 2025.
This protest is coming some weeks after a similar protest by farmers from 3 other camps in the State over insecurity, bloody attacks by armed Fulani herdsmen. These camps are Ago Oyinbo, Ademekun, and Alhaji.
Despite the promise by the security agencies in the State to rise to the situation by cracking down on the culprits, the killings have continued unabated.
A viral video discovered by our correspondent reveal how the embittered farmers have chosen to open a full-fledged protests while also brandishing the pale, lifeless bodies of their colleagues at the Alagbaka Roudabout, very close to the Governor’s office.
The State government is yet to react as at news time.
