- A former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Tajudeen Adefisoye, has appealed to the residents of the Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State to relax their ambition for the House of Representatives ahead of 2027, citing the need for balance in the sharing of power between the 2 Local Government Areas comprised in the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.
Adefisoye’s strictly pidgin expressions historically explored the political relationship and power-sharing mechanism between the Idanre/Ifedore people, taking into account their different terms of representation.
He emphasized that the Ifedore people had spent a total of four terms in the House of Representatives while the Idanre people have only spent 3 terms. He appealed that there is a balance in this representation to make Idanre read 4.

Message to Ifedore:
To the people of Ifedore: You’ve had the privilege of representing the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency four times (1999–2003, 2003–2007, 2011–2015, and 2015–2019), while Idanre has done so only three times (2007–2011, 2019–2023, and 2023–2027). In the spirit of fairness and equity, Idanre should have one more turn to bring both areas to the same level—four terms each. After that, we can sit down together and decide who should take the lead moving forward. Let’s ensure balance and unity in our constituency!
• For Idanre to reach parity with Ifedore, the next term (2027–2031) should ideally go to an Idanre representative. This would bring Idanre to 4 terms, matching Ifedore’s count.
• Post-2031, a fresh discussion could determine the rotation or selection process to maintain fairness.
