The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has strongly condemned a viral video circulating on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which allegedly portrays his voice praying fervently in a private jet experiencing technical difficulties midair. He described it as fake, doctored.
In the widely circulated clip, the voices of unidentified pilots are heard struggling with the aircraftโs gear system, expressing concern that it wasnโt responding. Meanwhile, a male voiceโwidely believed to be that of Minister Wikeโis heard in the background praying loudly and invoking โthe blood of Jesusโ in apparent panic. โSatan, you are a liar! Father, Father! Oh Jehovah. The blood of Jesus. Father, it is time to prove Yourself. Jesus, You are in charge. โ Ohhhh Jehovah. Father!! Satan is a liar. Father, save my soul, save my soul, save my soul. Oh my Father, oh my Father!โ The face of the speaker is never shown in the video.

The video however sparked widespread reactions online, with many X users mocking the minister over his alleged fear of death and his dramatic prayers.
However, Wikeโs spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, has dismissed the video as fake and misleading. Posting from his verified handle @OlayinkaLere, he questioned the credibility of the clip, emphasizing that it lacks any concrete evidence linking Wike to the incident.
โPrivate jet with only you and your friends or family members on board. Who will record such a video and share it on social media? You, your friend, or your family member?โ Olayinka asked.
He further mocked the logic behind the video, stating: โAnd the plane was having issues in the air, only your voice was heard while others were calm. Dem chop winch abi? Make una dey use una sense small small nah.โ
