The member representing Idanre/Ifedore constituency in the house of Representatives and former Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate in the last governorship election in Ondo State, Hon. Festus Akingbaso, has formally defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
His decision to join the APC was made known on the floor of the National Assembly.
His defection as disclosed on the floor of the house by the Speaker, House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen, is unconnected to the irresolvable crisis in the PDP.
