Gunmen have reportedly abducted three members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident took place on Monday evening while the victims were returning from a Bible study session at Kasemola area inside the Ogbese axis.
According to reports, the kidnappers struck while the victims were leaving the Bible study session. A message from the church read, “Good morning, beloved. Kindly pray along with us. Three of our members were kidnapped yesterday after bible study at Kasemola inside the Ogbese axis.”
“Members of the church are seeking divine intervention to secure the release of their kidnapped members. The case has been reported to the police and Amotekun Corps in the state.”
A source said the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N5million naira for the victims.
The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olushola Ayanlade, confirmed the incident.
The PPRO stated that men of the command are already in the bush around the said community, working to rescue the victims.
