
Brazilian nun, Inah Canabarro Lucas, the world’s oldest person, has given up the ghost at 116 years old, just months after becoming the oldest person globally.
Her death was announced on Wednesday by her religious congregation and longevity records.

The Congregation of Teresian Sisters in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where Lucas passed away expressed gratitude for her lifelong the dedication and devotion.
Lucas, born on June 8, 1908 became the world’s oldest person in January of Japanese woman, Tomiko Itooka passing at 116.
She dedicated her life to spirituality, becoming a nun in 1934, at the age of 26,.
