Embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti – Uduaghan, the Senator Representing Kogi Central Senatorial District in the House of Senate, has reportedly landed in the venue of her touted rally, thereby joining a mass number of her constituents who had been expecting for some days.
Akpoti is leading this rally despite the alleged ban on public gatherings by the State governor, Usman Ododo.

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, had earlier urged Nigerians to hold Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, and his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, accountable if she or her supporters face any violence during her scheduled visit to her constituency for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
A statement she posted on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, reveals how defiant she has chosen to be, particularly with respect to her commitment to visiting Kogi Central despite heightened tensions and a government-imposed ban on rallies and public gatherings.
She said, “My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our peaceful Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello, and SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible,” she wrote.
A viral video seen by our correspondent reveals how elated she was with the tumultuous welcome she was given by her constituents, comprising old women, young people in males and females. She was seen dancing with them on a podium.
