The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Kayode Ajulo SAN, has cried out following what he termed the attempt by a particular Minister in Tinubu’s cabinet and Governorship hopeful in the State to take his life in the gruesome manner Bola Ige was murdered owing to his perceived opposition to his gubernatorial ambition.
Ajulo, in a personal cryptic message to a colleague, Kunle Edun SAN, alleged that he had faced personal attacks from some rabid youth who he claimed had been acting on the instruction and sponsorship of the unnamed Minister. Their attacks according to him sparks memories of the tragic human rights violations that preceded Bola Ige’s death. “But for the intervention of security agencies, the situation would have escalated further.”

Ajulo while doing a striking comparison between his experience and that of Chief Bola Ige, said, “the harrowing several violations of his office which ultimately led to his tragic murder, remain etched in my memory. This trauma lingers still.”
While imploring President Tinubu to rein in the unnamed Minister, he asserted boldly that, “I cannot remain passive while his actions threaten both my life and the stability of the State. My resolve is unwavering, and I shall not be swayed. I stand ready to depart, for I possess other parts to follow.”
Ajulo claimed the youth hid under the guise of his decision not to fund their questionable youth initiative connected to the “Akoko Youth” banner, making the huge demand of 22 million Naira without clear justification.
He said, “I am under no obligation to finance every endeavour that claims to represent our community.”
Meanwhile, his colleague, Mr. Kunle Edun SAN, has implored President Tinubu to order a deeper investigation into the alleged attack and rein in his Minister. He claimed Nigeria cannot afford to experience another Bola Ige tragedy.
