
Omotunde Adunbi-Ogunbowale, a businesswoman and logistics expert hailing from Idanre, has been appointed as the “Yeye Tuwonade” of Ilugun South in Ijebu North East Local Government, Ogun State. This honor was conferred upon her by His Royal Highness, Oba Ademola Oluseyi Olusanu, the Tolulade, Ilufemiloye, the Atunlute 1, and the Ajalaiye of Ilugun South.
The installation ceremony, which garnered significant attention, saw numerous dignitaries gather to celebrate this prestigious chieftaincy title awarded to an esteemed daughter of Idanre.

Prominent attendees included the Dagburewe of Idowa kingdom, the Olumewuro of Imuewuro, Mr. Segun Ebun, CEO of Victorcorban-Bridgehouse Limited, Lagos; Mrs. Bosede Olowosejeje, Mrs. Toyin Ogunlade, members of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Amje, Lagos; and Mrs. Lawal Alaba, among others.
During the ceremony, Oba Ademola praised Chief (Mrs.) Omotunde-Ogunbowale as a shining example of the people of Idanre, highlighting her contributions to the development of the Ilugun South community.
Otunba (Barrister) Ogunbowale Francis described his wife as “a disciplined, God-fearing, kind-hearted, trustworthy, hardworking, devout Christian, and a virtuous woman of substance.”
The palace hall was filled to capacity with distinguished guests, traditional rulers, chiefs, and admirers. Local traditional dancers and the De-Proof International band added to the festive atmosphere.
In her remarks, Chief (Mrs.) Ogunbowale expressed gratitude to Oba Ademola and the attendees for honoring her with the chieftaincy title. She also thanked her husband, Otunba Ogunbowale Francis, the Otunba Tuwonade of Ilugun South, and all those who traveled from near and far to celebrate the occasion.
