Protests is currently rife in Idanre community as a viral video circulating online has triggered outrage toward the Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Ayodele Adegbonmire. The video features a passionate spokesperson from the town condemning the senator for abandoning his constituents nearly two years into his tenure.
“When you came to Idanre, you couldn’t buy anyone’s conscience with money. We identified our problems and hoped you would help. But since then, you’ve not returned to the people who voted for you,” the speaker stated.

He detailed the suffering of the community:
No single functioning hospital.
Terribly damaged roads causing daily accidents.
Expectant mothers lacking access to proper maternity care.
Referring to a recent donation, the spokesperson mocked:
“Recently, you sent 15 or 20 solar lights to Idanre. Sir, without disrespect, can you send your account number or one of your aides’? We’ll pay you back.”
The blunt and emotional appeal has resonated across social media, sparking discussions about elected officials’ responsibilities and the plight of neglected communities in Ondo State.
As of the time of this report, Senator Adegbonmire has not responded to the viral video or the refund demand.
Meanwhile, Makanre International Brothers (MIB), speaking through Prophet Ebenezer Akinsunlola, its president, had initially tackled the Senator over his poor performance in the Local Government Area.
