Honourable Abiola Makinde, the Honourable Representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, has in a statement addressed through his Special Adviser, Alli Moshood Abiodun, applauded the defection of Honourable Festus Olanrewaju Akingbaso (Fessywest) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) fold in Ondo State, describing it as a capacity added to the ruling party.
The message is coming some hours after the official defection of Hon. Festus Akingbaso to the fold of the progressives on the floor of the House of Representatives during plenary via a letter read on the floor by the Speaker.
By virtue of his defection, APC now boasts of 9 House of Representatives Members from Ondo state.
While welcoming Hon. Akingbaso to the APC, Hon. Makinde noted that there is room enough for all to thrive in the Ondo State chapter of the APC, and expressed optimism that the former deputy governorship candidate will add capacity to the party.

“Dear Honorable colleague, I am thrilled by the bold move that you’ve made to cross over to the progressive fold by the official declaration of your defection on the floor of the House today. I therefore welcome you to our great party; the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I am of the firm belief that your addition to the fold is indeed an enhancement to the already established capacity of the APC in Ondo State and Nigeria in general.”
“I can assure you that the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress is a large house driven by unity and strong sense of purpose and direction; indeed, there is a very large room enough for all to thrive and succeed.” He concluded.
