A mass protest against the alleged fake promises of Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa has broken out in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
A viral video discovered by our correspondent reveals how a large population of students under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) confronted armed soldiers who were mobilized to the protest barricades, insisting that they vacate the premises.

The protest which had students blocking the popular A-Division Roundabout is capable of shutting down economic activities in the capital city except if the government decides to hearken to their demands.
The students had in an earlier statement made available to newsmen yesterday threatened to lead a mass protest against the government of Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa owing to his refusal to fulfill all his promises to the students.
While the government is yet to react to the statement, there are suspected moves by the State to suppress the mass students’ demonstration.
