The African Action Congress (AAC) has demanded the resignation of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the massive recall of all Ondo State House of Assembly members should they fail to initiate an impeachment process against the governor.
This was contained in a press statement signed and released by the party’s candidate in last gubernatorial election, Kunle Wizeman Ajayi, on Wednesday.

“There is no point for long essays, but to be clear that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has no business continuing to be at Alagbaka as the Leader of the state. From the campaigns, we were clear that Lucky did not have what it takes to govern a deeply resourceful State like Ondo State. Worse off, Aiyedatiwa had no manifesto except some hogwash joined together in a small pamphlet by his motivational speech writers.
“Same governor and his gang of followers are even openly denying the obvious even when protesters came to Alagbaka with evidence of the killings. This is the same way they dodged responsibility in the killings of over 30 youths in intra-cult/APC killings in Owo for the past three months,” the statement read.
The party further said that Aiyedatiwa and his goons are not interested in developing the Sunshine State or improving the lives of her people but in milking her dry.
“For us in the African Action Congress (AAC,) Lucky Aiyedatiwa is only interested in looting the state to its skeletons. And this is clear in the rogue budget approved by the rogue members of the House of Assembly.
“We call on all Ondo State people to pressure the House of Assembly to kick out Lucky or each constituent starts the recalling processes of all the Honourable members of the Assembly. If not, Ondo State is in big mess.
“Let me State that those who are terrorizing the state are clearly out to steal the resources beneath the ground in all of Ondo State, and not just the suburbs. The experience from the North shows that it is actually not about herds, but illegal mining of the People’s resources. Aiyedatiwa has no clues about all these as he cannot give what he doesn’t have,” AAC affirmed.
The party further condoled the people of the affected areas, adding that all hands must be on deck to ensure that Aiyedatiwa and the APC are sent packing from the state’s government house.
