As Ondo people continue to live in palpable fear of the unknown, a former House of Assembly candidate in Okitipupa Constituency 1, Honourable Timothy Ayesuwa, has chided opposition parties for politicising insecurity, while calling for concerted efforts in tackling the menace.
Ayesuwa made this comment while reacting to the rising spates of insecurity in Ondo State in recent times.

He however commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for swiftly rising to the occasion and allaying the fears of Ondo citizens.
“As the spate of insecurity is nosediving in the country, Ondo State which is known to be a state of peace, in fact rated among the most peaceful states in Nigeria is having its fair share of the hydra-headed monster called insecurity in the last few weeks caused by the enemies of the state.
“Having critically looked at the security situation and the proactive stance of the government of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, I want to plead with every good citizens of the state to join hands with Ondo State Government to nip insecurity in the bud in our state.
“Combating insecurity isn’t only the job of the government. We’re all stakeholders that have significant roles to play in the polity. We must not fold our hands and watch our dear Sunshine State thrown into a state of anomy.
“The sanctity of life must be upheld. Hence, opposition elements shouldn’t use this critical moment in our dear state to settle political scores. You can’t criticise from afar without proffering solutions.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa is not sleeping over the matter of insecurity and he’s doing the best and right thing to flush the enemies of the state out. Let’s come together to support, collaborate and cooperate with him in his fight against insecurity,” Ayesuwa concluded.
