
HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, BARRISTER OLUYEMI BAJOWA: A TRAILBLAZER IN LAW, BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP @ 60.
HRH Princess Oluyemi Bajowa, the former Regent of Ayeka Kingdom, is a remarkable figure whose contributions to law, business, and her community have left a lasting legacy. Born into the family of Late HRM Oba Bode Frederick Ayelomi (17th Lumure of Ayeka kingdom) with a deep sense of responsibility, she rose to prominence not only as a respected barrister but also as a pioneering businesswoman and the first female regent in the history of Ikale Land.

With a strong academic background, HRH Princess Bajowa earned her LLB in Law and Business Management from the University of East London. She later pursued her Master’s degree (LLM) International Law & World Economy, further solidifying her expertise. As a barrister at law, she has consistently used her legal knowledge to advocate for justice, while her business ventures have made her a respected tycoon in various sectors.
As the CEO of Awawa Communications Limited radio station in Ondo South Senatorial District, AWAWA 94.1 FM, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the media landscape in her region. She is also the Managing Partner of P.O. Bajowa Chambers and the CEO of Flomax Security Limited, a leading first class private security company in Nigeria.
During her time as Regent of Ayeka Kingdom, HRH Princess Bajowa brought about significant development, including the establishment of crucial infrastructure and institutions.
Some of her notable contributions include the creation of the Oja Oba Lumure Market, the rehabilitation of the Gully Erosion through NEWMAP and World Bank project, and the fencing of the traditional Ugboro heritage site. Under her leadership, Ayeka Kingdom also saw the registration of the Lumure Hunters Association and mobility for the guards a testament to her commitment to preserving local traditions and advancing community initiatives.
Her leadership was not only transformational but inclusive, with a special focus on empowering women in her community. She established a cooperative for women in Ayeka, contributing to the economic independence and welfare of local families.
HRH Princess Oluyemi Bajowa’s story is one of resilience, innovation, and dedication to improving the lives of those around her. Through her work, she continues to inspire many, proving that with vision, hard work, and determination, one can create meaningful change.
She is married to Sir Prince Dr. Gen Olu Bajowa (OFR) and they are blessed with children and grandchildren.
